Costume Quest: Grubbins on Ice was developed by Double Fine Productions and published by THQ. It was released on December 21st, 2010 and retails at 400 Microsoft Points.
When Double Fine Productions launched Costume Quest, their Halloween themed RPG last fall, it became an instant classic. With simple yet satisfying gameplay, superb writing, and the charm of a
children’s book, Costume Quest won the hearts of gamers around the world. A few months later, Double Fine followed up by releasing the Grubbins on Ice add-on. This time set during the winter season, Grubbins on Ice takes our group of heroes and puts them far away from home, in the monster’s world of Repugia. The result is a mixture of a very solid offering, and missed opportunities that left us wanting more.

It’s a pretty slow time for XBLA games and XBLA news at the moment, so there’s not a lot of XBLA discussion on this weeks show. That doesn’t stop us though, as the regular crew of myself, Perry and Todd are joined by John Carson to talk for around an hour.
Subjects include Fusion: Genesis, Skyrim, Dragons, Modern Warfare 3, Jet Set Radio and Dragons. It’s a fairly offbeat show (with some cursing, apologies) but we think it made for a fun one. So give it a listen and let us know what you think!

Action-Tower Defence favourite, Orcs Must Die! has now received two DLC packs for the PC version of the game. But what about us XBLA fans? Well Robot Entertainment assure us it is coming. @SixOkay, Community Manager for Robot Entertainment recently posted the following comment on the Orcs Must Die forums:
Just wanted to post this in one place –
We WILL be releasing DLC for Xbox players, we just aren’t quite ready to announce details yet. But if you use your imagination, I bet you can guess a lot of the details already. ;)
We’ll assume that means the DLC will be the same as the PC version…and given the delay we’d also take a guess that they are coming as one big DLC pack for Xbox. Check out the full details on the two packs already available for the PC after the jump.

A few months ago the new iteration of NFL Blitz was revealed, but little was known about the reboot. Over the last few weeks we’ve received more and more details about the game via the “Blitz two-minute drills” videos. This week, NFL Blitz Designer, Yuri Bialoskursky, took to the NFL Blitz blog to let us know about the co-op modes featured in the game. With two modes, “Blitz Teams” and “Online co-op”, both detailed in the video above, the newest version of NFL Blitz wants you to play the game with friends, and that’s perfectly fine with us.

I recently had the chance to talk to Iron Brigade (AKA Trenched) Project Lead Brad Muir from Double Fine. Brad talks a bit about the upcoming update and European release for Iron Brigade, which will include a bunch of new content. He also outlines what we can expect from the first DLC pack, Rise of the Martian Bear which sees the Iron Brigade story take the fight against the tubes to Mars.
After that we get into a discussion of XBLA in general and talk about some of the pros and cons of the service as well as what the service will hopefully evolve into.
Thanks to Brad for coming on the show and keep checking back for news on that update, which should be out very very soon.
