Today, independent publisher Midnight City revealed that it is bringing both Costume Quest 2 and Gone Home to consoles this year. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer for each game, which you can check out after the jump.

Costume Quest 2 is the sequel to Double Fine’s charming Halloween-themed RPG from 2010. Like the original, the next installment will focus on the trick-or-treating twins Reynold and Wren who gain powers based on the costumes they wear. The new game will feature an improved battle system, new costumes, and new quests.

Developed by The Fullbright Company, Gone Home is a story-based adventure that saw release on PC last year. It focuses on a daughter returning home, exploring an empty house to discover what happened to her family while she was away. The game has been praised for its unique storytelling, for which it won numerous awards.

The Walking Dead Season 2 was developed and published by Telltale Games. It was released March 5, 2014 for $4.99.

So far, The Walking Dead Season 2 has been off to a slow start. The first episode spent a lot of time separating itself from the original series, while setting the stage for the current one. It was a lot of build-up that ultimately had little immediate payoff.  Thankfully Episode 2: A House Divided picks up right where the last left off, allowing the story to kick itself into full gear. We finally see the direction the series is going, as Clementine’s new group is forced to deal with a mysterious new villain, Carver. Telltale delivers the experience we’ve come to expect from The Walking Dead – one full of tough choices, rough consequences, and a good helping of zombie slaughter.

The lucha-themed Metroid-vania adventure Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition will make its debut on Xbox One and Xbox 360 soon. No official date has been given to the new revision of Guacamelee!, but there are some details on how it differs from last year’s Playstation and PC releases. Super Turbo Championship Edition boasts all of the DLC previously released on other platforms as well as additional story content, new areas, a brand new boss called The Trio of Death, and a new INTENSO combat mode among other tweaks. Constant C is mixes time, space and gravity gameplay mechanics into a physics-based puzzle-platformer. It’s headed to Xbox Live Arcade next week, but we’ve already played it extensively and spoken with one of its three creators.

So what exactly is “Constant C”? Light Wang of Taiwan-based developer International Games System Co. (IGS) tells XBLA Fans that the title comes from “the equation of mass–energy equivalence [which] is E = MC². Constant C is the speed of light.”

In the game, scientists were trying to break the speed of light, but accidentally stopped the flow of time instead. As a result, all objects are frozen in time except for on-board artificial intelligences, such as the player character.

Xbox 360 owners who have not yet thrown down money for a Xbox One will be able to get their hands on the newest Peggle game in the coming months. EA and PopCap Games have announced Peggle 2 will release on Xbox 360 on May 7 in North America and Europe. The release date comes alongside news of the Xbox One version receiving a free update that inserts Duel Mode into the game which is available now.

The long-awaited March update that fixes the Xbox One party and friends system in preparation for Titanfall‘s release next week has begun rolling out. Xbox One owners will be prompted to update their systems within the next few days, unless their Xbox is set to “Instant On” in which case the Xbox One will automatically check for updates once turned off. Aside from the fixes to the party and friends systems, the update also prepares the Xbox One for the new audio adapter, Twitch broadcasting (available next week), as well as including SmartGlass updates, live TV improvements, Dolby Digital support and myriad other tweaks and changes.
