Just two new indie released this Friday, alongside a mega bundle deal of some old favorites. Vertical Drop Heroes dropped, so to speak, on to the Xbox One store today. The game from Nerdook Productions and Digerati Distribution is a procedural platformer RPG hybrid with roguelike elements, where your hero adventures through randomly generated stages. Armed with a variety of skills and traits, you must use your cunning and reflexes to survive the dangers of each stage, until you face the final boss and uncover the truth behind the game. Next we have Typoman from Brainseed Factory, a 2D puzzle platformer. Players take on the role of a character made of letters, struggling to make his way through a dark and hostile world. Despite your small stature you have a powerful gift: You can craft words to alter your environment. Players will need to alter the world by by creating, changing or destroying words in order to progress, solving ingenious and challenging puzzles with a unique aesthetic mix of typography and pen & ink graphics. Pick it up for $10.39 for this week only, or $12.99 thereafter.
