Minecraft Halo Mash-Up Pack lands May 28
We’ve been on the surface of Mass Effect‘s Mars, we’ve fought the ender dragons of Skyrim, but Minecraft‘s next Mash-Up Pack will take us to its biggest franchise yet. Minecraft: Halo Edition transforms the game into the popular FPS series, complete with needlers and energy swords. The pre-built world includes re-creations of classic multiplayer maps including Sandtrap, Valhalla and Blood Gulch. The pack comes with 40 new skins, including Master Chief, Cortana, Guilty Spark and much more. A new texture pack and 31 songs from the franchise are also included to truly sell the Halo vibe. The Halo Mash-Up Pack comes out tomorrow for $3.99. Check out the screenshots after the jump to see everything the pack has to offer.

Star Wars Pinball Heroes Within release date announced
The newest addition to the Star Wars Pinball saga for Pinball FX2 now has a release date. Star Wars Pinball: Heroes Within will release on April 29 for $9.99, offering four new tables for the price of three. Two of the new tables have already been highlighted in trailers: a table dedicated to Han Solo that takes place aboard the Millennium Falcon, and a table that runs through the major events of the original movie, A New Hope.
The Droids table stars R2-D2 and C-3PO after they’ve been kidnapped by Jawas. It’s up to you to navigate the perils and help them escape the massive Sandcrawler. Masters of the Force will pay tribute to the users of the light and dark sides of the force, from Yoda to the Emperor and everyone in between. Heroes Within marks the end of the Star Wars Pinball series, but considering how great the previous packs have been this last batch should be equally as epic. Powerstar Golf Course Coyote Canyon DLC revealed
At PAX East last weekend, Zoë Mode revealed the upcoming free DLC course for Powerstar Golf, Coyote Canyon. Pixxel of Ubisoft’s FragDolls hosts a video preview alongside Design Director Craig Leigh and Community Manager Rukari Austin courtesy of The Next Level.
Leigh reveals that the course is based off of a real-life national park that was converted to be a golf course. The rocky environment looks fantastic, and the green grass really pops against the earthy background. Free content-rich updates to games are always welcome — hopefully it plays as well as it looks. There’s no specific release date, but it is very likely that this will be released in the near future.

Star Wars Pinball: Heroes Within announced
Zen Studios has announced that more Star Wars Pinball tables will be coming to Pinball FX2. Heroes Within will contain for new tables, all focusing on our favorite heroes from the saga. First up we have the Han Solo table, where the action takes place on the Millennium Falcon. The titular smuggler and his buddy Chewbacca are heading to the Death Star, but not everything is going as planned.
R2-D2 and C-3PO get their own time to shine on the Droids table. They’re on their way to deliver the Death Star plans, and it’s up to you to guide them to safety. Episode IV: A New Hope gets its own table, focusing on the memorable moments from the first film leading up to the destruction of the Death Star. Masters of the Force is a table dedicated to the most powerful beings to wield lightsabers, both good and evil. Star Wars Pinball: Heroes Within will be available this spring. ID@Xbox highlights five unique games
It feels like we’ve been waiting on game announcements for some time, but the ID@Xbox team unleashed the floodgates last week for the first wave of titles using the new independent development program. Twenty-five games were showcased at a public event during GDC providing developers a chance for direct fan interaction. The ID@Xbox team released a video highlighting five of the games: Super Time Force from Capy Games, Strike Suit Zero Directors Cut from Born Ready Games, It Draws a Red Box from Other Ocean Interactive, Spectra 8 Bit Racing from Gateway Interactive and FRU from Through Games.
