Frogmind is brining their award-winning mobile game to Xbox One with Badland: Game of the Year Edition, a new release that expands and improves an already amazing physics-based sidescroller. The entire game has been revamped for current-gen consoles, featuring an expanded control scheme and enhanced HD graphics. It includes four times as much content over the original release, including a 100-level single-player campaign that takes around 15 hours to complete. Local co-op will allow up to four players to work together through 100 co-op levels or fight for supremacy across 27 deathmatch stages.
Badland: Game of the Year Edition is coming to Xbox One this spring. Check out the announcement trailer below.
Indie developers Area Effect, founded by Ubisoft veteran Alexis Bacot, have announced that they are bringing new action-adventure RPG Izle to Xbox One. The game invites players to build their own world by summoning the power of the gods and terraforming a variety of procedurally generated islands, each one unique and filled with secrets. Of course with great power comes great responsibility and players will also need to defend their islands from the forces of shadows.
Xbox One gamers shouldn’t get excited just yet however, as Izle is still a long way off with Area Effect hoping to bring the game to the console sometime in 2016. A Kickstarter campaign to support the development of Izle will launch this spring, but as the game enters the alpha stage those curious enough can register to become part of an upcoming, closed alpha test on the official Izle website. Check out the new alpha trailer after the jump.

White Night was first spotted on last year’s famous E3 ID@Xbox montage video, but now has its very own launch trailer. Catch it after the jump.

It has been a long time since Abe and the Oddworld franchise has seen an Xbox console. In fact, it hasn’t seen a release at all on Xbox 360. Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty is a ground-up remake of the classic Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, and excited Xbox One fans won’t have to wait much longer to play this game from the classic franchise.
This is the story of a floor waxer for RuptureFarms by the name of Abe and the unlikely adventure he is about to embark on. One night, Abe overhears his boss, Molluck the Glutton’s, plans for turning Abe and other Mudokons into tasty treats to save Molluck’s empire. It’s up to Abe to save the Mudokons by escaping the dark, desolate environments known as RuptureFarms to prevent the plans from happening.

Sometimes, ordinary isn’t enough.
If that is something you find yourself saying when playing a game, how about fighting against “the most absurd and dangerous enemies” that Blue Estate has to offer, such as scar-covered champions, your character’s own hair and some very happy Chihuahuas?
Blue Estate is an upcoming rail shooter arriving February 18 on Xbox One for $12.99. Its story is about Tony Luciano, the homicidal manic son of an LA mob boss, and Clarence, who is a broke ex-Navy Seal out to clean up Tony’s mess. Tony sets out to rescue his dancer, Cherry Popz, from the Silk Brothers’ gang, and Clarence is out to stop gang war.
Developer HESAW has stated that the game was designed from the ground up to fully integrate the Xbox One Kinect for motion detection, but the game can also be played with a controller. Blue Estate promises dark and funny humor to go along with gameplay based on the Eisner Award-nominated Blue Estate comic books from Viktor Kalvachev. The game will also feature a local co-operative mode, so a second player will be able to join in on the fun.
HESAW adds that “All Xbox Live Gold members can also take advantage of a special discount of 20%!” But it’s unknown whether $12.99 is the price before or after the discount.
Continue below to check out a teaser of Blue Estate in action.
