The Paranormal table for Pinball FX 2 was produced by Zen Studios. It was released October 26, 2011 for 0 MSP. The promotion ended November 2, 2011, and it now retails for 240 MSP. A copy was provided for review purposes.
Paranormal is in truth not exactly a new table. It’s been available for Zen Pinball on the PlayStation 3 for some time. The table may be showing its age, but it still has a lot to offer. The theme of the table is the investigation of paranormal activities in the area. Things like the Loch Ness Monster and the Jersey Devil make appearances amongst others. It’s one of the more complicated tables out there, but doesn’t play as smoothly as others. As solid as it is, it will struggle to gain traction with players as the more recently developed tables are so much better.

The gang at Zen Studios know how to take care of their fans. They are constantly releasing new downloadable tables for Pinball FX2. We’ve seen our share of Marvel-themed tables recently, but Zen has something different up their sleeve this time around. On October 12 players can download the Sorcerer’s Lair table, one that used to be a PS3 Zen Pinball exclusive. We had previously reported that both Sorcerer’s Lair and Paranormal would be coming to Xbox 360 owners, but now we’ve got a firm date for one of them. Hit the jump for the full press release and additional screenshots.
It’s a four man show this week as Damon Fillman and John Drawdy join myself and Perry. It’s a longer than usual episode too, we also ran into some technical issues so apologies if there are any audio oddities.
In this episode we discuss why it matters that Crysis isn’t coming to XBLA, or rather whether there needs to be more distinction on the different parts of the marketplace. We also hit on the Indie Game Summer Uprising as well as the recent public argument between Team Meat and Zen Studios.
We talk about last weeks releases, most of which we tried out or in my case reviewed. Then we round things out with this weeks twitter topic, which was provided by @Talus.

It seems like everyone likes to gang up on Microsoft, but I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s for attention, maybe it’s from bitterness, maybe they’re ignorant to the goings on behind the scenes, and maybe, just maybe, their beef with MS is justified. But honestly I’m tired of what I largely consider to be whining. I just want to break out the world’s smallest violin and play a sad song for them. I realize that sometimes the process developers must follow complying with Xbox Live is tough, but that’s why we don’t get several patches for a game, why we have the most secure network, and why we as consumers are happy with our service.
What’s coming next may seem a little sharp to some. Please remember that this is an editorial, so it’s my opinion, and mine only.
Pinball FX 2 fans may be keen to know that Zen Studios are planning on releasing two new tables: Paranormal and Sorcerer’s Lair. Both tables were previously exclusive to …

The Ms. Splosion Man table for Pinball FX 2 was developed by Zen Studios and retails for 240 MSP. It will release on August 31, 2011. A copy of the table was provided for review purposes.
Ms. Splosion Man is the latest table for Pinball FX 2 and the first non-Marvel table in some time. This time the theme is none other than the Twisted Pixel heroine, Ms. Splosion Man. But instead of platform action this battle will be won with a silver ball and a pair of flippers. Ms. Splosion Man must battle the agents of Big Science and Mr. Destructoid himself if there is to be any hope of rescuing Splosion Man. This table is rather short in length but doesn’t play particularly fast. It’s in the middle of the line as far as difficulty goes compared to other tables in the series.
