Mad Riders was developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft. It released May 30, 2012 for 800 MSP. A copy was provided for review purposes.
If you’re a racing fan then you’re already somewhat spoiled for choice on XBLA, with games like Hydro Thunder Hurricane, TNT Racers and Skydrift, and many more are on the horizon. However for all the diversity of those games, XBLA has yet to see an ATV racer. Techland and Ubisoft are changing that with the release of Mad Riders, a mostly fun racer that doesn’t quite have as much personality as its name would imply. Read More

Hello Games told us the inspiration behind Joe Danger: The Movie was a bunch of VHS movies. One of the members of the team didn’t want them and were going to throw them out but they were some awesome movies like Robocop, Die Hard and other awesome action movies. So what if they applied all those ethics to our dear stuntman Joe Danger? You get balls to the wall action with so much variety than their previous game.
The anticipation for Trials Evolution is insane but it’s only two more weeks until you get your hands on it. Leading up to the weeks, RedLynx has been kind …

Wrecked: Revenge Revisited was developed by Supersonic Software Ltd. and published by 505 Games. It was released March 28, 2012 for 1200 MSP. A copy was purchased by the reviewer.
Wrecked: Revenge Revisited is a shared screen combat racing game from the creators of Mashed and Micro Machines V4. In Wrecked, players vie for the lead on relatively short circuits, with an eliminator line chasing them. Anyone caught by the eliminator line is, you guessed it, eliminated. During the race corners are dangerous, as anyone who has taken geometry will tell you the line will cross a lot of distance on the outside corner. Power-ups litter each map and vary greatly, combining with the high speed racing to form a pretty darn chaotic game.
The game has 24 single player missions with set goals to beat and medals to earn, and that’s it for single player content. The game sports four player offline and online multiplayer and customization options for vehicles as well as race rules, and an XP system which grants players more customization options as they play the game. There are six tracks across which players will turn and burn, and four cars (all of which play identically) to choose from.
Every day goes by that we add another racing game to XBLA and this time, it’s Jeremy McGrath’s with Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad. 2XL Games are behind the helm and there’ll be plenty of different types of trucks to race in from Rally to Pro Buggie to Pro Lite. There’ll also be online multiplayer for up to eight players and an entire Career Mode about Jeremy’s rise to win the Pro2 championship. Here’s a quote from Jeremy McGrath himself on the game and check out the screenshots after the jump.
“It’s great to see something that started as an idea turn into a killer video game thanks to the guys at 2XL Games! I am sure my fans from both moto and offroad are going to love it.”
Joe Danger: Special Edition is probably one of the best motorcycle games on XBLA aside from Trials HD and while we’re getting Trials Evolution in the spring, summer is looking like big movie month and Joe Danger: The Movie is premiering shortly after from Hello Games. In the first developer commentary, we see Joe on a snowmobile escaping from missiles being shot at him from a helicopter. You’ll have to land on certain areas to dodge missiles and the hop technique will be your ultimate friend here. In the second commentary after the jump, Joe is a policeman going after a robber but he has commandeered a kid’s bicycle since his license has been revoked. You’ll have to race through busy streets while throwing newspapers at the perp in order to catch him. Joe Danger: The Movie is looking like a crazy sequel that adds more to the already great formula with the same track creation and multiplayer from the original with new movie focused scenes. Look for Joe on the red carpet for its release in the summer.
