A little over 3 years ago, Poker Smash was released on Xbox Live Arcade. At first glance, one might write it off as just another generic match-three game. Sure, the game can be played by simply matching 3-of-a-kind, but the depth that Poker Smash brings to the action/puzzle genre is unlike any other game on the marketplace. Inspired by the SNES cult hit; Tetris Attack, Poker Smash is truly one of the hardest puzzle games to master. Last September, Sega taunted Dreamcast fans by saying that enough interest in Chu Chu Rocket! would be enough to bring the beloved puzzle game to Xbox Live Arcade. Demiurge Studios released the first gameplay title for their game Shoot Many Robots. Joystiq also notes the title will be coming to Xbox Live Arcade. Announced back in October the game is a sidescrolling shoot em’ up for up to four players that also features light RPG elements such as weapon upgrades. The game is slated for a 2011 release, but nothing more definite than that has been revealed. Check out the attached trailer after the jump.

Rotor was released February 20, 2011 via Xbox Live Indie Games. It was developed by Pocket Starship and sells for 80MSP. A copy of the game was given for review purposes. All of the game’s aspects were explored.
Indie developers Pocket Starship have hit the XBLIG scene with their freshman release, Rotor. In the game players pilot a helicopter in a stylized open world and complete minigames which involve things such as collecting orbs or attempting to accurately fly down a specified path. The cooperate action-adventure game Islands of Wakfu has finished development, Eurogamer reported today. Developed by Ankama, it’s the sequel to Dofus, a Flash-based free-to-play MMO. No release date has been set. Check out the trailer after the jump.

Good news to any Behemoth fans who plan on attending some upcoming trade shows. The Behemoth has revealed plans to show off more of their next game, BattleBlock Theater. According to a blog post over on The Behemoth’s site the dev has refrained from showing the Story mode until now because they weren’t sure it would fit with a trade show environment.
They have decided to finally pull back the curtain however, excited to show everyone the collaborative gameplay. We have listed the handful of places The Behemoth will be showing off the mode below and hit the jump for some (small) screenshots of the game cinematics.
