Member 2015? Member E3? Member Gigantic? Well it’s finally, almost, here as the long awaiting open beta launches next week on Xbox One. For those don’t quite remember, Gigantic is a third person shooter with MOBA elements where you fight alongside a giant Guardian against an enemy team. It’s eye catching graphics piqued the interest of many but the game has suffered numerous delays. Until now that is.
The free open beta will feature a weekly rotation of six heroes from a roster of 16, and three maps: Siren’s Stand, Ghost Reef and Sanctum Falls. Each hero features a unique playstyle that can be further customized via skill trees during match playtime. Teams of five will need to work together to attack enemies while claiming points on the map to summon powerful creatures and eventually power up their own team’s Guardian by controlling the battlefield and defeating enemies. Victory is then awarded to the team that overpowers their opponents’ Guardian first.
The open beta will be available to download for free via the Xbox Game Preview program from December 8, though there is also a closed beta this weekend, running from Thursday through to Sunday, December 4.
