Gearbox Software’s highly-rated shooter-RPG hybrid Borderlands 2, which hit consoles last week after years of anticipation, is chock full of in-jokes, references and Easter eggs for players to uncover. Fire Pro Wrestling returned to consoles last Friday following a seven year hiatus. However in a break from the traditional look of the franchise, Fire Pro Wrestling on XBLA allows players to create their own wrestler using their Xbox Live Avatar. XBLA Fans recently got together with Yasuhiro Iizuka from Spike Chunsoft to see what triggered the revival and what inspired the move to Avatar support.

The biggest and most highly anticipated feature from Minecraft‘s 1.8.2 update is Creative Mode. Creative Mode will give players unlimited amounts of every object in the game, plus the ability to fly. Players can build to their heart’s content, with their imagination no longer limited to how much supplies they can find. A new preview, courtesy of 4J Studios, shows the mode running on Xbox 360 for the first time. The new creative interface is reminiscent of the crafting menu, a far cry from the PC’s giant scrolling list.
