Each and every month Games with Gold offers a new “free” game offering to Xbox Live Gold subscribers, and December is no exception to that. Recently we posted that Worms Battlegrounds would be the free game for Xbox One gamers. Xbox 360 gamers shouldn’t feel left out, though, as they are offered The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief and SSX, free in the month of December. Along with those free games, Xbox’s weekly Deals with Gold were also announced. Continue reading on to see what games and/or add-ons you can save money on this week.

XBLA’s Most Wanted: Amped 2

XBLA’s Most Wanted: Amped 2

In 2003 Microsoft was doing everything they could to keep their the infant console afloat. One of the ways they attempted this was with exclusive titles of every genre and type, from classic names we recognized like Conker and Toe Jam & Earl, to supplying the market with original titles like Blinx and Blood Wake. Many of these titles, especially the rebirths, were major failures, but some of them were just amazing. Among those is Amped 2, originally released October 28, 2003 (NA) one week behind SSX 3. The two were pitted directly against each other in a snowy race to the top of the charts.

The original Amped launched to good scores but poor sales, leaving Amped 2 with a huge job: improve on greatness, but get noticed this time. Developer Indie Built succeeded, exceeding almost all expectations at launch, delivering (at the time) amazing graphics and decent controls. It quickly was acclaimed a must-have snowboarding game and spawned fans everywhere. It included local and LIVE multiplayer, massive drop selections and a few innovative features. Bundle up and drop into this weeks Most Wanted with us.

XBLAFancast Episode 52 – Maple syrup, Moose

First off, apologies for the dip in audio quality this week. Some technically difficulties meant we had to use the backup for this episode.

No Andrew this week, but Todd is back and we brought Shawn back in to fill the gap. We talk a bit about last weeks release of Nexuiz, which we are somewhat baffled by in many ways. With not much else XBLA to talk about we chat some about SSX which most of us have been playing over the past week.

We recorded over the weekend, meaning we missed a lot of big news that came out on Monday. So if you’re wondering why the new segment is missing some pretty big stories there’s your reason. We round things out with some Todd Talk and don’t forget to play Small Arms for Andrews Remember The Days feature.
