With the latest news coming out from Microsoft, that their Kinect has already sold 1 million units within the first 10 days of release, it only stands to reason that developers will be taking a harder look at this new peripheral device for the Xbox 360. Tim Schafer’s development studio Double Fine recently ventured into the realm of downloadable game with the fantastic Costume Quest, as part of a new download iniative within the company. The XBLA generated record revenue in October with $11.2 million in sales, according to a new report from market research firm Forecasting and Analyzing Digital Entertainment (FADE).
The sales are up 91 percent from last year in October, and helped the download service break the $100 million mark for year-to-date revenue.

Pac-Man Championship Edition DX was developed and published by NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc. It was released on XBLA on October 17th.
Over the years, we have seen hundreds of Pac-Man remakes. Most of them have been awful in the opinions of Pac-Man enthusiasts. The only iterations that have been well received have been the ones that stayed very close to the original recipe. Guwange is a vertical scrolling shooting game, launched in Japanese arcades in 1999. Set in the Muromachi period of Japanese history, Guwange tells the tale of the “Shikigami users”, hosts to ghostly avatars called Shikigami. Unlike other CAVE shooting games, known for their fighter craft and destructive machinery, the heroes of Guwange walk across the demonic landscape on their quest to rid themselves of the Shikigami curse, cutting a swath through enemies.
