We took a look at the leader boards for Trials Evolution around the end of the first day. We found that the boards already had over 100,000 entries. That …

Microsoft has revealed the date and location of its 2012 pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing. The conference will be held on Monday, June 4 in Los Angeles’ Galen Center. Industry and press members who have been invited have been asked to arrive at 9 a.m. PST. A precise start time for the conference itself was not identified by the console-maker, but it should be noted that the doors swung open at the same hour for last year’s briefing, with the official start time being 9:30 a.m.
It is expected that Microsoft will focus its efforts heavily on promoting Halo 4, its flagship 2012 title, during the course of the show. Judging from the strategy the company has employed at the past several Electronic Entertainment Expos, gamers can also expect the firm to make a multitude of announcements and show plenty of footage of the major Xbox 360, XBLA and Kinect titles arriving during the second half of 2012. The most recent reports have Redmond, Washington-based Microsoft focusing solely on Xbox 360 wares and electing not to pull back the curtain on its next-generation console, supposedly codenamed Durango.

Welcome to our gigantic Fez completion guide! This guide will take you from no achievements to 12, zero g to 200g and we’ll take you there… delicately. Thanks to community member MRX93 for helping us ever so slightly here and there. Without further ado… we have to explain some things.
[Editors Note: We highly recommend not using this guide until you can’t go any further on your own. Fez is about exploring and getting lost. Polytron put it best when they said “play like the internet doesn’t exist”. That being said, we know many people will become frustrated and want help. This guide is written for them. Please use it only as an emergency cheat-sheet.]
There are two ways to complete Fez. Complete it like you’re playing it, and to complete it for the sake of completion. We here at XBLA Fans are aware of this and have set up our guide in accordance with the different types of Fez players.
We have taken great care to separate anything and everything that would be considered a spoiler. Our policy follows that any puzzle that requires knowledge acquired outside of the area to which the puzzle belongs (barring basic knowledge and specific sections) will be posted in the SPOILER ZONE. Each area has one, and each zone is marked very clearly in text and with pictures. Each picture hints at what the spoiler covers. Once you’re done with many areas and have accrued much knowledge you’ll want to come back and check each spoiler tag to see if you can now complete that puzzle. Read More

Trials Evolution was developed by RedLynx and published by Microsoft Studios. It was released April 18, 2012 for 1200 MSP. A copy was provided for review purposes.
Oh RedLynx, how are we supposed to get anything done when you release such addictive games? We logged close to a hundred hours into Trials HD, and grew a three day beard trying to complete the expert tracks. Looks like we’ll have to quit our jobs, because now Trials Evolution is out.
Evolution builds on everything that’s great about Trials HD. For the uninitiated the premise to to ride a motorcycle over obstacles and to the finish. The left and right triggers control the throttle and brake while the left thumbstick controls the rider’s balance. It’s a simple yet incredibly addictive formula that RedLynx started back in 2000, and Trials Evolution is the latest and greatest installment in the series.

We recently had the opportunity to talk at length with Greg Kasavin, writer and designer at SuperGiant Games about the state of the downloadable titles. Instead of focusing solely on Bastion, the team’s debut release, we spoke with Greg about why he chose independent game development as a career, his experience thus far with the Xbox Live service, as well as his plans for the future. Bastion is out now on XBLA and Steam and was the first title to be released in last year’s Summer of Arcade promotion.
