The next Minecraft update may still be weeks away, but that doesn’t mean we can’t get excited for it. 4J Studios has been hard at work building the update, and they’ve let out a few screenshots showing off some of the most anticipated new features. Look closely and you’ll see a mine shaft, spiderwebs, melons, silverfish, the hunger bar, and endermen. As if all that wasn’t enough, the update still has plenty more to offer, including creative mode.
If you like dressing up your avatar as much as you like Minecraft, you’re in luck. A new batch of themed avatar items are on their way, including the sheep and shears avatar prop shown above. The shearing animation is great, although you’ll never see Minecraft‘s Steve struggle that much. There is currently no release date or price for the item.

Joe Danger 2: The Movie was developed by Hello Games and published by Microsoft Studios. It was released Sept. 14, 2012 for 1200 MSP. A copy was provided for review purposes.
Every time we go to the movies, we see the death-defying daredevil antics that stuntmen go through. Sometimes it’s as simple as crashing a car a specific way or driving an ATV across deadly terrain filled with traps and spikes. Joe Danger has seen his share of stunt-work in the past but he wasn’t ready for the biggest job of his life: his own movie.
Joe Danger 2: The Movie is the sequel to the original Joe Danger (Special Edition on XBLA) but instead of just making another motorcycle stunt-driving game, they took a much better direction. As Joe, you’ll have to go through stunts in the movie, and the script is full of variety. But we might have an Oscar-caliber XBLA game on our hands. A sequel that feels like it has more life and deserves to sit in your VHS collection with Commando and Speed.

Trials Evolution: Origin of Pain looks awesome. Like trade-in-your-AAA-title-for-MSP awesome. But for all that awesome the details of what it contains haven’t been highly publicized. Sure, everyone’s covered the obligatory “Here’s an announcement” post, but most of those didn’t go into much detail as to what the DLC will actually contain. We did some digging, and here’s what we know so far. There’s also a screenshot gallery and a summary at the bottom of the preview, so be sure to hit the jump for all the dirt.
Origins of Pain takes place on an all-new island–one that is 4km x 4km in size. It’s massive. By comparison the island that was shipped with the game is only 2km x 4km. We’re getting double the sandbox. Twice the playground. Two times the… well, you get the point. 36 new Trials tracks challenge players on this massive battlefield, and RedLynx once again shows us just what the in-game editor can do with a little imagination. Settings span from a circus to an aircraft graveyard. And it won’t be just Trials tracks. 10 new Supercross courses and an unknown number of Skill Games will be included. One image given to select press showed the rider grappling along a la Bionic Commando. Hold your girlish squeals in. There’s more.
