Are you a human who likes to go skateboarding? Then you’d be happy to hear that the rad dudes at Curve Digital have teamed up with equally-rad developer Roll7 to bring their gnarly skateboarding game OlliOlli to Xbox One. This 2D sidescroller will be the ultimate test of your skateboarding skills, having you rack up massive combos using over 120 tricks. It’s all about getting the high score, meaning a single kick-flip could be the difference between beating your friends and utter failure. Shred your way through 100 levels and prove your mettle by completing over 250 challenges. The game features four game modes including The Daily Grind, which has the entire world competing for the high score on a single course.

OlliOlli is coming to Xbox One early 2015. Check out the teaser trailer after the jump. We’re sorry about the asdfmovie reference and poor use of slang, it’s unavoidable when you write about a radical skateboarding game.

Remastered Resident Evil coming to Xbox January 20

Resident Evil for Xbox One

Capcom has announced that its second remastered Resident Evil endeavor will release on Xbox 360 and Xbox One on January 20 for $19.99. Its retouched version of the game that essentially invented the survival-horror genre will simultaneously release on PC and PlayStation platforms.

Fans of the series, which Capcom says has sold over 62 million units to date, will recall that Resident Evil first released in 1996 for the original PlayStation, and that a remake arrived for the GameCube six years later. The 2015 release will feature resolutions and textures that have been “significantly upgraded” from the GameCube release. The next-gen version will run in 1080p and all versions will feature 5.1 surround sound. Capcom is also giving players the ability to switch back and forth between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios.

That’s not the only new toggling option, either; Capcom is including a couple toggles that affect gameplay. The first offers the ability to swap between the original game’s infamous “tank” controls and a more contemporary control scheme. To further cater to modern-day gamers who may be approaching Resident Evil for the first time, Capcom is creating a new “Very Easy” gameplay mode. This difficulty level will be available in addition to all of the original ones.

Game of Thrones Iron from Ice for Xbox One

Hot off the heels of Tales from the Borderlands, Telltale Games has launched the premier of their highly anticipated Game of Thrones series. The first episode, Iron from Ice, is out now on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The episode costs $4.99, and you can upgrade to the season pass for $19.99.

The Jackbox Party Pack review (Xbox One)

The Jackbox Party Pack was developed and published by Jackbox Games. It was released on November 26, 2014 for $24.99. A copy was provided for review purposes.

Jackbox 1

With Christmas rapidly approaching, it may come as no surprise to see more and more party focused games begin to appear. Leading the way on Xbox One is Jackbox Games’ rather generous The Jackbox Party Pack, which features all three previous Jackbox releases, plus two (almost) entirely new games. Jackbox has built an excellent reputation primarily on the success of its standout title You Don’t Know Jack, the latest (2015) version of which is included in the here.

The Jackbox Party Pack promises the kind of risque laughs that have been made popular in recent years by accessible, engaging tabletop games like Cards Against Humanity. Achieving the kind of belly laughter that these board games provide on a console has always been challenging, and often disastrous – let’s find out if Jackbox have got the balance right.
