This Wednesday we have two XBLA games to enjoy, though perhaps not the most obvious choices for a Halloween release date. First up we have the long awaited platformer from Might & Delight, Pid for 800 MSP. Players take on the role of Kurt, a young boy trapped on an alien planet. It promises up to 12 hours of challenging platforming and offline co-op for up to two players.

This week’s other release is the pool simulator from Cherry Pop Games, Pool Nation also priced at 800 MSP. The game features photo-realistic graphics along with offline and online multiplayer. Not many Halloween frights to be found here but perhaps if you look closely as the reflection on those shiny, shiny balls…

Deal of the Week forgot about XBLA again but there’s still a few sales to take note of. The Kinect Central deal offers 50% off Babel Rising, which is now down to 400 MSP, and if you’re in a region with access to the Sales & Specials App then this week’s losing offers provide 50% off Torchlight (now 600 MSP), Dead Block (now 400 MSP) and The Dishwasher: Vampire Smile (now 400 MSP).
