First up today is Outlast 2, the follow-up to the acclaimed game Outlast. The same developer, Red Barrels, is behind the sequel; however, Outlast 2 doesn’t bring the return of Miles Upshur or the Mount Massive Asylum. Instead, players follow investigative journalists Lynn and Blake Langermann as the husband and wife duo dig into Sullivan Knoth and his band of followers that created a new town called Temple Gate. Beginning with a gruesome murder, players piece the clues together with the duo and explore the case to its extremes and discover how horrific things can become. Outlast 2 can be purchased here for $29.99.
The other game to release today is Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition from Funatics. In Valhalla Hills, players take control of a Viking settlement and must build it into a thriving locale. There are Ice Giants, Lava Crawlers, and Mummies to fight as players roam the massive mountainside landscapes. Each map is randomly generated but there is often a mix of snowy slopes, sand dunes, volcanoes, and caves. The Definitive Edition comes with two DLCs: Sand of the Damned and Fire Mountains, as well as The Dwarf Cave which is a new exclusive map type. Valhalla Hills – Definitive Edition can be purchased here for $39.99.
