Super Meat Boy took 18 months to develop, and through out that year and a half many changes were made to this meaty game. Nothing was set in stone until the very end of this journey. TIC: Part 1 was developed by Red Candy Games. It was released on June 21, 2011 for 240 Microsoft Points. A copy of the game was provided by the developer for review purposes.
TIC: part 1 is an stunning example of what the Xbox Live Indie Marketplace was made for. This simple, beautiful game is amazing from one end of the spectrum to the other. It’s got bright vivid colors, a simple story line, a unique art style and most of all it’s tons of fun. You control TIC, a robot who needs to save the world from oil stealing aliens. To do so, you must fly, collect and drill your way through the stages.
A few months back we brought you word and a trailer, that a new four player co-op brawler, by the name of Lucha Fury was on its way to the XBLA. The guys over at Punchers Impact have given us a new teaser trailer, allowing us to have a little insight from one of the henchmen in the game. As you can clearly see, life isn’t all glitz and glamour. Oh, they were also nice enough to toss us a few new screenshots, which you can check out after the break.
Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team is an upcoming XBLA title tie in for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, unlike many digital game tie-ins though, this one is actually designed to be good. The standard formula of death and weapons is still here, and you must actually have completed one game of Kill Team in order to actually receive the ‘power sword’ in Space Marine.
Deadliest Warrior was an amazing game that was very well received by everyone, including us here at XBLA Fans as our review clearly shows. Due to this huge reception among fans of the show and gamer’s a like, we will now be seeing the follow up installment called Deadliest Warrior: Legends. Some of the characters that have already been announced are, Alexander the Great, Atilla the Hun, Shaka Zulu and William Wallace.
Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is slated as the last game to be released for Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade and is being shown much love. It was on display here recently at E3 for people to play and have questioned answered. Many people took advantage of this situation, quickly taking a liking to it, which is clear through all the positive feedback it has received. Even our own John Laster went hands on and had some really good things to say about it in his Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet Preview.
Trendy Entertainment recently released info that their publisher Reverb Publishing has submitted Dungeon Defenders for Microsoft certification. Well now we know it has been approved as it has an official page on Xbox.com. That means it should be a short time before we see it available on XBLA.
