See how the first half of the House Party promotion fared
GamerBytes editor Ryan Langley takes a look at Xbox Live Arcade sales for February 2011. The analysis, based on leaderboards, includes two of the games included in the House Party promotion, Hard Corps Uprising and Bejeweled Blitz. Both titles seemed to have fared well, with Hard Corps pulling in at least 27,000 players in its first two weeks, and Bejeweled Blitz garnering 14,000+ players in its opening week. Can check out our reviews for Hard Corps and Bejeweled to see if they fit your fancy.
TNT Racers and Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 didn’t do as well in the month of February. With TNT Racers it’s likely that the family-friendly art style and gameplay may have turned folks off. Rearmed 2 was poorly received in comparison to its predecessor. While the game’s price is 400MSP more than its predecessor, it actually offers less in terms of replayability. Finally Stacking is mentioned in the sales, but no numbers are given due to the fact that it has no leaderboards, something else that makes it unique among XBLA games. For those interested in the games check out our reviews of TNT Racers, Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 and Stacking.
