Hearkening from the campy 1950’s era of science fiction comes a new Xbox Live Arcade title, Unstoppable Gorg.  To be blatantly honest we really know very little about this game. What you see here and in the press release after the jump is pretty much it. No gameplay videos, no list of features. Truthfully it’s a bit frustrating, but that’s part of advertising sometimes. Bastion was developed by Supergiant Games and published by WB Games. It will be released on July 20, 2011 for 1200 MSP. A copy was provided for review purposes.

Bastion is kicking off the Microsoft’s Summer of Arcade on July 20, 2011. This game, the first developed by Supergiant Games, puts you in control of the kid as you make your way through the demolished landscape of the once flourishing city of Caelondia. The Calamity ripped the world apart, and the Bastion is all that’s left. The narrator tells the story of the kid as he works to gather the cores, place them into the monument, and bring more power back to the Bastion. So, is the Bastion worth re-building? Is the tale of the kid worth seeing? Is this the story worth be told?

We have a special episode of the XBLAFancast for you this week, don’t worry we’ve got a regular show coming tomorrow too (cause we love ya).

For this special however John Laster and Stephen Haberman are joined by Supergiant Games’ Greg Kasavin. As one would expect this episode focuses on Supergiant Games’ debut title, and the Summer of Arcade opener, Bastion. An action RPG with a beautiful art style, wonderful music and a unique hook in the narrator who comments on your actions throughout the game.

Greg talks about how he got into the industry before moving onto the creation of Supergiant Games and the development of Bastion itself.
