Sadira is the first completely new character revealed for the 2013 reimagining of the classic, Killer Instinct. The name Sadira is Persian in origin and means lotus tree, which is often seen as a symbol for purity and peace. The symbolism behind the name yields a stark contrast from the agile, spider-focused fighter featured in the trailer, who has the ability to shoot webs to grab or injure other fighters. Note that the end of Double Helix’s trailer also teases the return of Black Orchid, famous for her finisher in which she flashes the other character, causing them to have a heart attack.

Killer Instinct is setting out to take full advantage of the Xbox One: running at a smooth 60 frames-per-second and utilizing Kinect to track who is holding the controller at any given time and switching the control setup based on the current player’s preferences. Killer Instinct will also feature a new pricing strategy, which allows characters to be bought individually for $5 or as a bundle for $20, an ultimate bundle for $40 is also being released and will include all the characters along with their all costumes and accessories for every character as well as the original Killer Instinct.
