In Sync (10G)

You can earn 10 assists in either Xbox Live or Local co-op. In order to earn assist, build two towers; a level one mortar and a level one machine gun. Now each player needs to take control of either tower, it doesn’t matter which player controls each tower. Next, the player controlling the mortar tower needs to fire a mortar into a crowd of enemy soldiers. The soldiers affected by the mortar shell will slow down and turn red. Once the soldiers are slow and red, the machine gunner must shoot and kill the soldiers before they turn back to their normal colors. Each enemy killed is one assist and killing ten should only take a few minutes at the most. A great level to do this on is Jungle Fever since it’s easy and the first few waves are all foot soldiers.

King of the Hill (15G)

This achievement can be done in local or Xbox Live versus gametypes. In every versus game, there will be a neutral build site in the middle of the map. Simply take control of the Rambo character and walk him on to the middle of that control pad. It will take a few seconds to capture the build site and as long as that build site is still your team color at the end of the match, you will unlock this achievement. Winning the match isn’t a side requirement for this achievement. It’s okay to lose the match; as long as that middle area is under your control at the end of the match, the achievement will still unlock.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Aggressive Investment Strategy (10G)

This achievement can be done in Local or Xbox Live versus gametypes. This is a fairly simple achievement. In a versus game, press the X button to select your offensive waves. Buy four different waves and once the fourth waves is sent, you will have met the requirement for the achievement. As soon as the game ends, the achievement will unlock whether you win or lose.

A Few Lose Screws (15G)

Once you defeat the final boss in campaign mode, this achievement will unlock. If you’re having issues with any level in particular, make sure you check out our complete level guide for tips and tactics that will help you get past those tougher sections.

I Can’t Get a Tone! (10G)

The first level that will allow you to access the US Fighter is Trouble at the Canal. You will automatically take flight in the US Fighter and the first enemy wave will be six Soviet Fighters. Get familiar with the controls while you wait for the first wave and make sure you pick up a battery or two to allow some extra time to shoot down the enemy. When the enemy appears, take some health away with the LT missiles. Then deliver the kill shot with the RT machine gun. As long as the kill shot is from the machine gun, the achievement will unlock.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Clutch Repairs (10G)

A clutch repair is rewarded when you repair a unit/tower when its health is extremely low. I can’t get an exact number since there is no actual percentages given on the screen, but I would say that less that 5% health is about where you want to let the health bar drop to. Then simply chose the Repair Unit (wrench) option and it will say Rescued! in purple text. As long as that purple text popped up, that that counted as one of your clutch repairs. Do that five times and you’ll unlock this achievement.———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Synergy (5G)

This can be done in either local or Xbox Live co-op. Simply select Survival mode and invite a friend or sign in a second controller. At the end of the game, the achievement will unlock. It doesn’t matter how long you last, as long as you complete the game by letting the enemies into your Toy Box, the achievement unlocks.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Persistence (5G)

This is a very easy achievement. Select the mini game mode and select any mini game. At the end of the game, chose the Try Again option and then repeat that process one more time to unlock this achievement.

Effective Tactician (10G)

This achievement requires you to complete a level without manually using an emplacement. We found that the easiest level to complete this task is the Jungle Fever level. You have to do three things to earn a platinum medal. You must not let any enemies reach the toy box, you must be quick to end the level and you must be frugal with your available cash.

The first requirement is easy to understand. Simply don’t let an enemy reach your toy box. If they do happen to reach your toy box, pause the level and restart it. Using the Wavelist Rewind feature automatically makes a Gold medal the best possible medal you can receive for your performance, so restarting is mandatory.

The second requirement is also easy to meet, but it is very easy to overlook. In order to be quick, you must manually send enemy waves through as soon as you get a chance. You’ll notice that an option to press X to manually send enemy waves appears before each wave is sent. Make sure you keep an eye on that area of the screen and press X as soon as possible in most scenarios. You can afford to let it go for a few seconds here and there, but the quicker the better so make sure you stay on top of that option.

The last requirement is the tricky one. You’ll need to save enough money to earn a gold medal in profit. We found that the set up below works efficiently and saves around 80-85% of your money. The key to this set up is making great use of the Artillery. Make sure you stay on top of manually moving the target range of the Artillery back and fourth depending on what areas need the most support. Build the towers suggested below in the order they are numbered and you should have a minimal amount of issues.

With Distinction (10G)

To unlock this achievement you will need to complete 11 of the decoration challenges. There are two decoration challenges in each level and if you are stuck on any particular challenges, you might want to take a look at our complete level guides. Finding one and all golden arcades will unlock two additional decorations. However these decorations do not count towards this achievement. You must complete level decoration challenges in order to unlock this achievement.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Highly Decorated (20G)

To unlock this achievement you will need to complete 22 of the decoration challenges.

Demolition Man (5G)

This achievement will unlock during the tutorial section of the first level. Throughout the game, you will earn the ability to use barrages with the Y button. One of those barrages is a commando. Simple press Y when you earned the commando in the tutorial section and you will unlock this achievement and gain access to quite a powerful character. His abilities last about 30 seconds and he is indestructible, so walk right into the heart of the enemy if you please.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Shocking Results (5G)

Once you defeat the boss in the first level, you will unlock this achievement. To defeat this boss you will want to make good use of the helicopter. If you’re having issues with this boss, make sure you check out our complete level guide for tips and tactics that will help you get past the tougher phases.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

A Job Well Done (5G)

This achievement is awarded for earning a platinum medal on any level at any difficulty. For the best possible results, drop the difficulty down to Casual. The best level to attempt for this achievement is Jungle Heat. Simply make great manual use of a few level two or level three emplacements and you should have no issues. Make sure you force enemy waves through as quickly as possible. Also make sure no enemy reaches your toy box. A good safety precaution would be to put a level one machine gun near the toy box to pick off any stragglers that may pass through the level unnoticed.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Brute Force (10G)

The first time you will gain access to the heavy tank while enemy turrets are in play will be the Panic at the Wall level. You will start the level in the tank with a few enemy turrets in front of you. Simply move forward and destroy the turrets and the achievement will unlock when you destroy the first one. The turrets deal very little damage, so feel free to sit right in front of the turret and trade shot for shot.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Resolute (15G)

This achievement will unlock in any survival map once you survived the ninth round. For the easiest route, make sure you select the Classic difficulty. Survival ends when your toy box counter hits zero. Make sure you make great use of whatever vehicles are available to you and also make sure you keep your emplacements healthy.  To save money, make sure you upgrade emplacements instead of repairing them when their health is low. Keep as many level three emplacements on the map as possible.

The only real threat in the first nine rounds will be the bombing runs. The bombing runs tend to be broken up in two sections. After the first run, make sure you repair or upgrade any emplacement that was hit. You’ll have about five seconds until the second bombing run comes through. If both bombing runs hit an emplacement, it’s likely going to be destroyed. Make sure you stay on top of repair/upgrades during the bombing runs and you should be able to handle any other minor issues.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Like It Never Happened (5G)

For this achievement, you need to pause the game on any level after at least one wave has been cleared. From there select the Wavelist Rewind option and simply select any previous wave that you have already cleared and you will unlock this achievement.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————–

Perseverance (15G)

Every mini-game has a side challenge aside from setting a high score. In the level select stage, you can clearly see each challenge. Simply complete the second level of each challenge and the achievement will unlock. These challenges accumulate over all attempts and do not need to be completed in one attempt. The challenges are:

Dolled Up: Accumulate grenade kills. Use the LT as much as possible until the required number of grenade kills is met.

Cardboard Theater: Accumulate hits on targets. Simply play the mini game over and over again and hit as many targets as required. Manually steering the rockets makes every shot easier to hit targets with. To steer the rocket, hold the fire trigger in for each shot and you will manually take over steering the rockets.

High Noon: Accumulate cowboy kills. The cowboys all show up near the front of the challenge and you can rack up approximately 100 cowboy kills per attempt. Play this challenge a few times and you will have no problem meeting the level two challenge.

CAS Roundup: Accumulate kills with the 20mm gun. This challenge starts you off using the 20mm gun. Don’t change the gun selection with the D-Pad and you will rack up around 100 kills per attempt. Do this challenge a few times and you will easily meet the level two challenge.

Thread The Needle: Shatter the stars. This mini game requires you to manually steer a missile through a series of rotating walls with holes in them. Some holes have stars in them and you can shatter the star by smashing through it with your missile. Stars don’t stop your missiles progress but walls do. So hit as many stars as possible in each run and repeat until the level two challenge is completed.

Flyswatter: Accumulate golden fly kills. A golden fly will accompany each group of flies in this mini-game. The golden fly explodes and kills any flies in its blast radius when shot. The best tactical way to attempt this level would be to always aim for the golden fly. So this challenge should be easy to complete after a few attempts.

Concentrated Fire (15G)

The first level that contains IFV’s is Mind the Gap. In wave 15, IFV’s will drive to the area where the red smoke is placed and they will unload enemy soldiers if they reach that red smoke. Simply jump in the drivable tank at the beginning of that wave and drive to the front of the left bridge. As soon as the first IFV rounds the corner near the bridge, unload all your shots into it. After a few pulls of the triggers, the IFV should explode and the achievement will unlock.
