The follow-up to last year’s basketball arcade-action hit NBA Playgrounds is getting a bit of a face lift thanks to a new publisher. While most commonly known for handling triple-A franchises, 2K will be picking up the publishing duties for the game formerly know as Saber Interactive’s NBA Playgrounds 2. Now called NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, the title has been placed under the umbrella of the publisher’s main basketball series. The re-franchising won’t impact the game itself and will remain the sequel that was originally promised. The only change will be some additional NBA 2K flair in an effort to draw in new players. NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is coming this fall.
