Press Play, the development studio behind Kalimba and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood has invited gamers to help choose and develop its next game. Press Play will be opening up the studio and development process and giving the gaming community a chance to provide feedback and work together with their team. The studio will also be sharing early builds of the game and asking community members join meetings and project reviews via Skype, along with regular blog and forum updates.
The three game concepts under consideration are:
Dwarka is set to be a first-person co-op action-game with Dwarves, offering an infinite amount of quests in a procedurally generated world. It’s played as sequential missions ranging from 10 to 30 minutes, with gear upgrades, character levelling and storyline progression in between.
Karoo is a physics-based multiplayer construction game set in an open world. Players take on the role of an inventor who had the ability to construct any kind of vehicle. If you enjoy Lego, this is for you.
Knoxville is a 3rd person multiplayer action-survival game in which players must both work together and against each other. It is framed as a sadistic game show somewhat similar to The Hunger Games and The Running Man. However, all of the contestants can survive if they work together and don’t let greed or personal gain take over.
For more information on each concept and to register your vote, visit the Press Play site. Voting closes on September 1, and the winner will be announced September 8.
