There are two new releases today: Planetbase and Paladins. First up is Planetbase from Madruga Works. In Planetbase players take on the role of the base architect and manager as they work to build a thriving outpost on a remote planet. Managing colonists is a key aspect of the job as they collect energy, extract water, mine metal, grow food, etc to keep everyone on the base alive. There are four different planets to colonize, each with different conditions and varying levels of difficulty to keep players thinking of new strategies. Players will need to think on their feet because the issues associated with starting a new space colony are massive. Planetbase can be purchased here for $19.99.
The other game to release today is Paladins from Hi-Rez Studios. Paladins has been in beta for a while but is now available to the public for free. The game is an online team-based shooter with a wide range of characters that suit all kinds of playstyles. The game utilizes a collectible card system which allows players to augment their character’s core set of abilities in a variety of ways that best suit them. Paladins can be downloaded here for free.
