Major Nelson has just announced that the latest Xbox One system update will begin rolling out in a few hours. While we were already aware of some of the features coming with this push, his latest blog post details the full list of enhancements. The long-awaited March update that fixes the Xbox One party and friends system in preparation for Titanfall‘s release next week has begun rolling out. Xbox One owners will be prompted to update their systems within the next few days, unless their Xbox is set to “Instant On” in which case the Xbox One will automatically check for updates once turned off. Aside from the fixes to the party and friends systems, the update also prepares the Xbox One for the new audio adapter, Twitch broadcasting (available next week), as well as including SmartGlass updates, live TV improvements, Dolby Digital support and myriad other tweaks and changes.

Just a few weeks after the news that Microsoft was prepping the first large Xbox One update to enhance the Live Experience, the details of the next two system updates have been revealed. The first system update will occur on February 11 and will contain a multitude of features that improve the console experience, bringing it more in line with what gamers are used to from the Xbox 360. The second major update will occur on March 4 overhaul the heavily criticized party and multiplayer system in preparation for the release of Xbox One’s first blockbuster exclusive multiplayer game Titanfall on March 11.
