Badland is one of the most popular mobile phone games ever, so I guess it’s no surprise to see it finally making the long-awaited transition to home consoles. Developer Frogmind have certainly talked a good game and are promising that this Game of the Year Edition features a huge raft of new and upgraded content, including over 100 levels, plus a load of multiplayer features.
For those (like me) who are pretty new to Badland, the game is a side-scrolling, physics-derived puzzle-platformer that features a chasing camera (think the original Mario Bros.) to ensures a frenetic pace. The sumptuous, hand-drawn graphics mask challenging and varied gameplay that is dished out in bite-sized levels. There is an element of trial and error in most games like this, but Badland does well to ease the pain with its generous checkpoint system.
The tablet game Badland is making its way to consoles using a redesigned control scheme for console play. Badland: Game of the Year Edition is a side-scrolling action adventure with physics based gameplay that totes stunning graphics and audio. The player controls a flying creature named Clony who is trying to survive dangerous traps, puzzles and obstacles. The clones are out there waiting for Clony to save them.
Badland: Game of the Year Edition features 100 single player levels, 100 co-op levels and 27 multiplayer deathmatch stages with up to four player local cooperative play. Launch will feature a discount price of just under $10 before eventually going back to its normal price of $11.99.

Frogmind is brining their award-winning mobile game to Xbox One with Badland: Game of the Year Edition, a new release that expands and improves an already amazing physics-based sidescroller. The entire game has been revamped for current-gen consoles, featuring an expanded control scheme and enhanced HD graphics. It includes four times as much content over the original release, including a 100-level single-player campaign that takes around 15 hours to complete. Local co-op will allow up to four players to work together through 100 co-op levels or fight for supremacy across 27 deathmatch stages.
