To define Night Call, I would have to say it’s almost like a mixture of Crazy Taxi and L.A. Noire set in a black and white narrative-driven game. You play …

In a blog post he’s since deleted, Xbox Live Director of Programming, Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, announced the “Countdown to 2013” sale for the marketplace. The sale, which begins on December 18 and runs through December 31, will see discounts for a raft of content from certain franchises and publishers on both XBLA and the wider marketplace.
Although the official page has been pulled, the folks over at NeoGAF managed to compile a reasonably comprehensive list of the titles to go on sale and the date their discounts will take effect. Unfortunately, Major Nelson never revealed the discounted prices at any stage. But if you hope to catch any of the games or DLC in the list below for cheap, it may pay to stock up on MSP!

The full list of currently known discounted XBLA items follows:
If you enjoyed SEGA’s manic Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit, then you’ll be pleased to hear that some DLC is on the way. The first pack, dubbed Pimp …

You need someone who has years of experience: someone who knows the arcade game, the Dreamcast port, the PSP port — pretty much everything to date. Unfortunately we just don’t have anyone like that here so we’ve taken what we know and combined it with the knowledge of the those players who truly drive a crazy taxi.
What we are playing is a weekly column that appears each Sunday. Various staff members let the world know what games had them hooked the past week and which ones …

We’re starting yet another feature here at XBLAFans that will showcase any newly announced Xbox Live Arcade-based avatar awards from are friends over at AvatarAwards. They’re a great site that somehow gets news on avatar awards for all 360 games before they’re released. Be sure to check them out if you’re curious about any non-XBLA related avatar awards. For simplicity’s sake and so that we don’t leech from them, each of the links below will take you to their site. Remember, these are awards, so they’re given out to the player by completing criteria in each game. For more detail hit up the Avatar Awards site. You can also follow them on Twitter at @AvatarAwards360.
We’ve got a big backlog to fill between the AvatarAwards and things that pre-date their site, so this one’s a lot longer than usual. Hit the jump to see the list. Also, let us know if we missed one.
