When Psyonix first released Rocket League on Xbox One they asserted that cross-network play would not be coming to Xbox One players. However, a few months later a change of plans was announced and Psyonix confirmed that cross-network play would be coming to the Xbox One version; first with PC players and later with PlayStation 4 players. Xbox One players can now play against PC players in both public and private matches across every game mode. All players need to do is toggle a check box in the Options menu to allow cross-network play to occur.

Rocket League is the first Xbox One game to allow cross-network play with any other platform. Here’s hoping cross-network play with PlayStation 4 comes soon so that players can challenge their friends to a match no matter their platform of choice.
