After facing administration and a reduced price for Hydrophobia, things were looking pretty grim for Dark Energy Digital and it hasn’t gotten prettier. It appears GamesIndustry.biz reported that the developer has been shut down. Their assets have been combined into a deal with the recently created Dark Energy Publishing, formed by the owners of Dark Energy Digital, Pete and Deborah Jones. Their new publishing firm might be able to take control of physical assets and IP at a bargain price. We wish the best for any of the employees from Dark Energy Digital and hope this new company shines on into the future.
