It’s hard to believe it was two years ago when We Happy Few made its splash at Microsoft’s E3 conference, showcasing their antidepressant-fueled dystopia via gameplay of the game’s unsettling opening. Not long after that it launched on Xbox Game Preview, where it has been seeing constant updates and new content ever since. Fast forward to this year’s conference, and the game has given us another surprising reveal: We Happy Few will soon be complete. The full-fledged release will be hitting the marketplace on August 10, packing with it new narrative content and community-suggested improvements. The E3 trailer gives us a glimpse into the new story, proving the game hasn’t gotten any less creepy since its initial reveal.
