We already knew about it thanks to IGN’s coverage at GDC 2011, but now Burger Time HD has now been officially announced. The game is an enhanced remake of the original and is in development at Frozen Codebase. MonkeyPaw Games will publish the title, which includes four player splitscreen gameplay. Capcom announced today that two classic Resident Evil titles are coming to XBLA. Resident Evil 4 and Code Veronica X, made during PS2 era are going to be downloadable in gore-dropping HD. The HD versions of the games were recently announced as a bundled retail product in Japan, but in North America they will be downloadable and separate. No price announced yet but you will be able to catch them this fall, after the break there’s some screenshots comparing the old to the new HD graphics.

Seisou Kouki Strania, the upcoming shooter for Xbox Live Arcade actually has an English title, Strania — The Stella Machina —. Several details were also recently revealed for the game, along with a gallery of screenshots, some artwork, and a link to the English trailer.
Strania will feature cooperative play for up to two players. Multiplayer can be played locally over Xbox Live, and the game features drop-in, drop-out coop, meaning your buddy can jump right in and out when on a couch or over Live. The player pilots a mech that can be equipped with a variety of weapons, including both long-range weapons such as lasers and rockets, as well as melee weapons such as swords to take on enemies up close and personal. The story is set in a futuristic world involving an alien invasion:
The paths of two advanced civilizations cross as Strania attempts to defend its planet from the approaching Vower army. Armed in powerful mecha able to carry a variety of weapons, the Stranian special task force, the Stella Machina, set out on a preemptive strike against the artificial beings. In order to give their home planet a chance to overcome the oppressors, the Stella Machina must destroy Vower’s massive particle weapon “Gunrock” and create an opening for the fleet to attack the Vower base settling on the frontline.
Developer G.rev have also announced the first DLC for the game, SIDE VOWER. In SIDE VOWER players take control of a the antagonists of the main game, sent to recapture a planet held sacred by them. The DLC will feature new stages, new music and the story as told from the Vower faction’s perspective.

Twelve new screenshots have been released for the upcoming fighter, Skullgirls. The game is in development at Reverge Labs and features art by Alex Ahad of the Scott Pilgrim fame. No official announcement has been made that the game is coming to XBLA, but the developer’s focus is to “[create] high-quality downloadable and online games.” Check out additional screenshots after the jump.

With no hint of when Moon Diver will drop onto our consoles other than sometime in 2011 (the sooner the better), we are teased with more screenshots and character art. Feelplus inc. and Strider director Kouichi Yotsui are creating what looks to be a fast paced co-op action sidescroller in the vein of classics such as the aforementioned Strider and Ninja Gaiden. While hosting the Game Developer’s Choice Awards tonight Tim Schafer, Double Fine’s fearless leader, debuted the first trailer for the studio’s third downloadable title known simply as Trenched. From what’s been gathered by watching the trailer, it looks to be a mech combat game in the vein of Chromehounds where a human faction called the Mobile Trench Brigade defends itself from the Monovision, mutated television monstrosities. There looks to be an ample amount of customization for the mechs, but not much else is known at the moment.

Grand Theftendo, the game that started indie developer Brian Provinciano’s drive to create Retro City Rampage, is being shown today at Game Developer’s Conference 2011. The game is a demake of Grand Theft Auto III’s Portland area and runs on a Nintendo cartridge. Provinciano described the game as:
“a port of Grand Theft Auto III for the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It is Grand Theft Auto III running on an 8 bit, 256×240 resolution, 2 bit colour x 2 bit palette, 1.79 Mhz system, written entirely in 6502 Assembly Language! It includes the entire Portland city!”
