The much anticipated Indie Summer Uprising schedule has finally been announced. The promotion is a great opportunity for some of the most promising indie games to gain some exposure and win your hearts. A Twitter chat will be held on Tuesday Aug 16 at 9PM EST, giving gamers the chance to speak directly with the developers, organizers, and journalists in a roundtable style chat. Use the hash tag #IGSUA to join in.
One specially picked game will be released each week day between August 22 and September 2. Two spots are still remaining though, and fans can chose which games they want to see included by heading on over to Facebook to vote for your favourite. FortressCraft has become the first XBLIG to make over $1 million in sales. Launched back in April this year, the game bears an uncanny resemblance to PC hit Minecraft. Given the imminent release of an Xbox Live Arcade version of the real Minecraft later this year we can only speculate how long the success will continue. However with over 350,000 copies sold, developer ProjectorGames promises not to become complacent:
“Just because we’ve hit this milestone does not mean we’re going to kick up our heels and be content. A massive update is on its way – further adding to the depth of the world of FortressCraft, including customizable blocks and server rankings amongst other things.”
