Yesterday, the March system update for the Xbox One became available for users to download. The update brought plenty of oft requested features to the general public. The two biggest new features are the ability to buy Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles directly from a Xbox One and Party Chat now allows for 16 people. Both of these features were tested in the Preview Program over the last few weeks. For those that stream Party Chat is also finally able to be broadcasted to viewers over Twitch.

There were also a handful of smaller features added in the latest update:

  • Output Party Chat to headset and speakers simultaneously
  • Customizable Game DVR recording length, anywhere from 15 seconds to five minutes.
  • A new achievements area in the Xbox One guide
  • Xbox One Activity Feed can play videos without leaving the feed
  • Xbox Elite Wireless Controller received a firmware update that improved thumb stick precision
