AirMech Arena release date?

The internet can be a strange place. Sometimes you end up finding things you weren’t looking for, like the release date to the Xbox One version of AirMech Arena.

Thanks to the Uplay App on Xbox One, that date looks to be May 11, 2015. There has been no official announcement on the internet and there are equal possibilities that the day may change without notice. However, with a generic Spring 2015 release window for the title, AirMech Arena will be coming soon regardless of this date sticks.

For those that may not know, AirMech Arena is a free to play Real Time Strategy/MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena)/twin stick shoot-em-up that pits a team of up to three players against up to three players or CPUS in fast paced action with a goal of taking down the other team’s fortress. This game has seen success on the Xbox 360 and is looking to expand this success to the Xbox One.

Uplay has been kind enough to also upload the actions that can be done to earn Uplay points and the rewards that can be purchased with Uplay points. Take a look below to see what those are.

[Editors Note: In the past, listings on the Xbox.com website were often wrong and we have ignored them, however, since the Uplay is from Ubsioft and has previously been accurate, we have decided to post]

AirMech Arena Uplay Reward X1

0/7 Rewards:

Satellite: Get it for Free – Space based satellite link. Improves the view of the battlefield.
Spirit Eagle: Get it for 10U – The eagle has long been a symbol of the Assassins. It’s only natural for it to join you in battle.
“Tomcat” Striker: Get it for 10U – This modified Striker resembles a fighter jet of an age past.
“Apache” Helix: Get it for 20U – Originally designed as a disguise to draw less attention to itself.
XP and Kudos Boost Cube Bundle: Get it for 30U: (Get this reward 5 times!) – XP and Kudos Boosts: Bonus 50% to self, +10% other players
Kudos Ball: Get it for 30U: (Get this Reward 5 times!) – Shimmering spherical container holding a randomized amount of Kudos.
Rare Capsule: Get it for 40U – Inside is a random Rare item or reward which can normally only be purchased with Diamonds.

For those that may not have played the game before, a satellite is an equippable item that gives effects to the player. The Spirit Eagle is a pet item which is for cosmetic purposes only. The Tomcat Striker and the Apache Helix are skins that can be used to give the AirMech a different look (but provides no additional benefits). The XP and Kudos Boost cubes usually have different time allotments available so its neither a permanent boost nor does this explain how long the reward will be useful for. Kudos balls gives a random sum of Kudos (in-game currency, non-premium). The rare capsule is exactly as it mentions but it could be an item or a pet or other various things.

The actions and rewards promises more of the exciting fun that the Xbox 360 version gave to its players.
