Ever since it launched, players have had to save all of their Xbox data on hard drives and portable storage devices. Soon that will all change. With the E3 post-conference announcement of cloud storage, Microsoft has potentially made hard drive storage space a worry of the past. Players will be able to sign in to their account from any console easily, and will be able to access all of their save games, microsoft points, achievements, and their friend list. When saving a game, players will be opted with the option to save directly to the cloud service and/or to any local storage devices. This will out-date, and be significantly better than, the “gamertag recovery” feature we currently have. No word on when cloud storage will be available.
