Major Nelson has announced on his blog that the Xbox 360 will receive a mandatory system update on July 19, 2011. It’ll take place whenever you log into Live, prompt for the install, and restart your system back to working condition in a few short minutes. While the update will have no noticeable effect, Major Nelson has said that it is setting the stage for “additional system enhancements” later this year.
