Unless you live under a rock, you are probably aware that Sea of Thieves released on Xbox One today. Today also sees a handful of other titles sneak past those crazy pirates with Titan Quest, Attack on Titan 2, RBI Baseball 18, Octahedron and Assassin’s Creed Rogue Remastered looking to mark their spot. Let’s dig a little deeper.
Titan Quest from Age of Empires co-creator Brian Sullivan and Braveheart writer Randall Wallace is a unique action RPG set in ancient Greece. Players will travel all over the world including vistas in Egypt and Asia. There are over 28 different classes to chose from and thousands of items to acquire to build a champion worthy of the Gods. The game features 2-6 player online co-op making it worth considering for those with an abnormally sized gaming group. Titan Quest is $29.99 on Xbox One.
R.B.I. Baseball was developed in-house at MLB this year and claims to have substantial improvements. The game still focuses on arcade, quick gameplay with controls that are incredibly simple to pick up and play. The games main draw remains the fact that it is the only licensed baseball game on Xbox One. The year the franchise mode has been entirely revamped. They have added home run derby mode and over 100 historic players to the game. The player models and stadiums have also seen a visual upgrade. Rosters will remain current throughout the season and will even have the option to keep your current franchise playthrough current without having to restart. R.B.I. Baseball is $30 on Xbox One.
Octahedron is part of the Square Enix Collective. Full of pulsating music, this platformer has 50 handcrafted levels and a distinct art style of its own.Players can spawn platforms below their feet pulling them straight out of thin air. The soundtrack features Chipzel, Andre Sobota and Monomirror. Octahedron is $12.99 on Xbox One.
Assassin’s Creed Rogue released originally on Xbox 360 during the console transition to Xbox One and was missed by many including myself. The game tells the story of Shay during the French and Indian War. The game will feature native 4K on Xbox One X. Players will enjoy improved naval combat and intense action. Assassin’s Creed Rogue is $29.99 on Xbox One.
