The end of the month is upon us, so it’s time to look ahead and see what offerings Microsoft has for next month’s Games with Gold. Starting off with the Xbox One side of things, Gold members will be able to pick up arcade racer Trackmania Turbo throughout the month. Beginning November 16 and running to December 15, Telltale’s narrative-based spinoff series Tales from the Borderlands will be up for grabs. As the reviewer for both of these titles, I can attest that these are two fine selections; the former is an overly simple but still fun driving game, while the latter is an absolutely fantastic comedy and easily among Telltale’s greatest works.

The Xbox 360 side of the month is a bit more lackluster. Sega’s HD remake Nights Into Dreams will be available for the first half of the month, which our own Ryan Thompson reviewed back in the day and deemed the game was at least worthy of a try. First-person archaeological adventure game Deadfall Adventures brings up the rear starting November 16. It’s the only game on the list we didn’t cover, but that may be for the better because we haven’t heard good things. All in all November won’t be the most exciting month for free games, but if it gets more people playing Tales from the Borderlands I consider it a win.
