Toy Soldiers: Cold War Anti-Aircraft guide
US Anti-Aircraft I (40mm Automatic Gun M1)
Description:
This European-designed anti-aircraft weapon has a long service history and the performance to justify it.
Attributes:
Autocannon designed to shred aircraft.
Controls:
Aim – RS
Fire – RT
Scope – LT
How to best use it:
Anti-aircraft weapons are pretty straight forward and effective from even the first level. We highly suggest once deployed to upgrade them as fast and as high as possible as they are a great asset to your army. If the building area allows, anti-aircraft weapons should be installed in twos, one on each side of the board, to catch enemies no matter where they come from.
US Anti-Aircraft II (M48 Chaparral)
Description:
Lock-on surface-to-air missiles effectively deal with pesky aircraft that are too quick for standard anti-air guns.
Attribute:
Long-range launcher with lock-on capabilities.
Controls:
Aim – RS
Fire – RT
Lock-on Missiles – RT (Hold)
Tips:
Level two has a major drawback, it gives up speed for power. Each loadout will give you four lock-on missiles before it will need to reload, the upside is it will take out most aerial vehicles in just one shot. Remember that holding RT during a reload will allow you to auto-lock early, so you can fire immediately after the reload is done.
US Anti-Aircraft III (MIM-104 Patriot)
Description:
An advanced defense system equipped for missile guidance and radar surveillance. It patrols the skies so troops can focus on the ground war.
Attributes:
Increases damages and adds multi-target lock.
Controls:
Aim – RS
Fire – RT
Lock-on Missiles – RT (Hold)
Tips:
Level three is very effective and can handle most aerial enemies on its own with no need to take control of them. All though during waves that send 15-20 helicopters at you, even with the level three on the board it is best to take control of it if you wanna make quick work out of the enemies.
