Earlier this week Telltale’s Game of Thrones finished its six-episode run, leaving players with a lot of questions about the fate of the Forrester clan. Those questions will not go unanswered, as Telltale has confirmed the series will continue. In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Telltale CEO Kevin Bruner revealed that the game will get a second season. “After this week’s finale, I’m pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones series,” Bruner said.
The first season of Game of Thrones was announced as part of a multi-year deal between Telltale and HBO, so a second season isn’t a huge surprise. Bruner explained that a second season was planned all along, but he “really shouldn’t be revealing more than that”. He couldn’t say how far into development the next season is, but stated there is no shortage of ideas on the table. He also noted that all choices made in Season 1 will “play a huge role” in Season 2.
