2015 was a big year for Shovel Knight and its developer, Yacht Club. Shovel Knight was released on new consoles including Xbox One, the free Plague of Shadows expansion was released last fall and the titular character even got his own amiibo. Even after all that hard work, Yatch Club is still toiling away at the game, aiming to deliver even more great content. In an interview with Nintendo Life Yacht Club’s Ian Flood and David D’Angelo gave an in-depth talk about their busy 2015 and also discussed their plans for the future.

Currently, they’re hard at work on the future content they promised on their Kickstarter. This includes new campaigns starring King Knight and Specter Knight, a battle mode and a gender swap mode. Flood gave a positive outlook on the content’s development, stating their goal “is to completely finish Shovel Knight in 2016.” They certainly have a lot of work ahead of them, making four new game modes and all, but if anything is certain it’s that this will be yet another big year for Yacht Club.
