Famitsu has revealed that Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds is headed to Xbox Live Arcade in 2013, reports Andriasang. Battle Grounds is a side-scrolling action title from developer 5pb, who created the original Phantom Breaker (pictured above), an Xbox 360 fighting game that hit Japanese retail shelves in 2011 and is scheduled for a North American release on June 12.

Gamers will be able to team up in four-player co-op and take on the roles of the various characters from the original. The game will retain the 2D graphics from its predecessor but is believed to feature two planes that players can jump between by tapping up or down twice on the left analog stick.
