November Xbox One update is all about you
November’s Xbox One update is opening up new options to show off who you are online and change the look of your console interface. There’s also some new ways to watch content through the OneGuide. Here is the rundown:
You can now suit up your profile with your Location and Bio like on the Xbox 360, but you also have a “Showcase” that rolls clips from Game DVR or your notable Achievements as soon as someone looks at your profile. This can be customized with whatever content you want. Speaking of Game DVR, you can finally share your clips to Twitter straight from your console. Nice!
Console customization used to be limited to your favorite color. With this update, you will be able to set Achievement art as your background as long as you have unlocked it. You will also be able to set your own image as a background if you have one in mind. Phil Spencer mentioned adding these features two weeks ago. That was fast.
Media is also being curated even further. In the OneGuide, you can see which TV shows are trending locally or on Twitter. The What’s On section of the dashboard also shows content picked out by Xbox’s editorial team, popular TV shows through OneGuide and live Twitch broadcasts, all of which can be watched straight from What’s On.
