Jet Set Radio grinds on September 19 for 800 MSP
Since the news broke out months ago, everyone’s been clamoring for this Dreamcast remake of Jet Set Radio. We’ve told you what we thought about it at PAX East but all you want is a release date right? Good news, Sega announced on their blog today that it’ll be coming to XBLA on September 19 for the low price of 800 MSP. While the promise of a summer release date has now fallen ill, at least we’ll be able to strap on our blades for some tagging in the fall.
If you’ve never heard of it, Jet Set Radio originally came out on the Dreamcast in 2000 and was one of the first games to really hit the cel-shading style for years to come. The gameplay had you blading in your skates around Shibuya-cho, tagging your mark while avoiding the cops that want you gone. It was noted for its soundtrack which almost all of it is included, save for a couple tracks that couldn’t be licensed. With Nights into dreams… coming this fall too, it’s a good time to be a classic Sega fan. Get your spray paint ready this September.
