Double Fine Productions has announced that Iron Brigade has been submitted to Microsoft for certification, and the game/patch should hopefully be released in about three weeks. Originally known as Trenched in North America, Double Fine and Microsoft were forced to delay the game’s release in Europe because of an unforseen copyright infringement. After heaps of legal drama, fans in Europe will finally be able to dig into the game for themselves when Iron Brigade releases. Along with the game’s release in Europe, Double Fine is rolling out a patch for Trenched in all territories that will change Trenched into Iron Brigade, add a heavily requested survival mode as well as new weapons and outfits. The patch will roll out the same day as the game’s releases in Europe.

There’s never been a better time to jump on the Trenched/Iron Brigade bandwagon! If you somehow managed to resist the game before, the new content on the way should be the perfect incentive to join the party. Check out our review of the game and stay tuned for more Iron Brigade coverage!
