Halo Spartan Assault

Halo: Spartan Assault, the twin-stick shooter set in the Halo Universe and previously exclusive to Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8, is headed to Xbox One on December 24, 2013, priced at $14.99. The Xbox 360 version will be available sometime in January 2014 for the same price. Microsoft also announced an upgrade program for both systems, stating that anyone who purchases the Windows 8 or Windows Phone 8 version of Halo: Spartan Assault will be able to purchase the title on Xbox 360 or Xbox One for the discounted price of $4.99.

The game’s Executive Producer, Dan Ayoub, announced that the Xbox One version of the title would add an extra co-op mode so that the game could be enjoyed with friends. The Xbox version will also include new weapons and the add-on “Operation Hydra.” If that wasn’t enough, he also noted that Halo: Spartan Assault on Xbox One would run in native 1080p resolution with a smooth 60 fps framerate.
