Four new indie game releases round out this week on the Xbox One store. First up is Don’t Sink from Studio Eris, a swashbuckling pirate adventure game. Capture islands, sink ships, defend your towns, and discover an exciting world sailing between islands, all while tending to the morale, hunger, and thirst of your crew and maintaining the right supplies to keep your ship afloat. Pick it up here for $9.99.

Next up is Distrust from E-Home Entertainment and Alawar Entertainment. Inspired by John Carpenter’s The Thing, a helicopter crash left a group of explorers stranded near an Arctic base. When they sleep, they attract a terrifying force that sucks the life out of their bodies, but the longer they battle exhaustion and stay awake, the less likely they are to survive. The game comes with 15 characters, each with their own unique abilities set across a series of randomly generated levels. Buy it now for $14.99.

Also releasing today is Spectrum from 3D Avenue and Digerati, a unique platform game set in a stunning abstract world. Jump, dive and find your flow to skilfully navigate through 80 ingenious levels of shifting shapes and vibrant colours. The game promises to combine stylish visuals with an atmospheric soundtrack to create an immersive experience of pure, zen-focus platforming. Pick it up for $11.99.

Finally we have Planet of the Apes: Last Frontier, a narrative adventure game of conquest, betrayal, and survival from The Imaginati Studios and The Imaginarium. When the fates of a tribe of apes and a band of human survivors intertwine, two worlds collide as their precarious existence hangs in the balance. Players can choose to play either side of the growing conflict, gaining a deep understanding of the motivations, hopes, and fears of humans and apes alike. Buy it here for $19.99.
