If Disney taught us anything, it’s that dwarves like to dig so it seems fitting that they would feature heavily in upcoming space mining game Deep Rock Galactic. Announced at Microsoft’s E3 media briefing, the game is set to launch on the Xbox One Game Preview programme starting in early 2018. Players can teams up with up to four other players and venture on first person cooperative quest, mining through fully destructible environments to hopefully return with precious metals.
Of course players will also need to be equipped with some kind of weapon on order to avoid getting killed by hostile aliens an you’ll also be able to expand class-based skills, unlock new gear and weapons as you face ever increasing challenges. Mines are set to be procedurally generated making each trip down a brand new adventure.
The game is being developed by Danish studio Ghost Ship Games and published by Coffee Stain Check out the announcement trailer below.
