Counter-Strike: Global Offensive matchmaking details emerge
When Valve announced Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, many hardcore Counter-Strike community members questioned how the developer would translate the historically PC centric franchise to the Xbox 360. Thanks to G4, we’ve got some details about how exactly that will happen.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be using a skill-based matchmaking system that will be new to Counter-Strike fans, but should be familiar to members of Xbox Live. Players will essentially be matched to other players of their skill level. Valve has also announced that Global Offensive will debut the new “Casual Mode” which gives players an unlimited supply of cash to buy whatever weapons and equipment they want each and every round. Between these two features, the barrier that’s always existed for new players when it comes to “getting into” Counter-Strike should finally be brought down with Global Offensive.
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is currently slated to bring it’s competitive quickness to Xbox Live Arcade in 2012. Stay tuned for more coverage of the game right here at XBLAFans.
